My name is Igal Tabachnik, I’m a software developer from Israel. I build unit testing tools at Typemock, enjoy a good single malt whisky, and I’m a certified geek!
You can find me on twitter: @hmemcpy
My nickname, hmemcpy, stands for high memory copy, an undocumented 16-bit Windows API. Did I mention I was a geek?
I also lost some weight recently, after deciding I’ve been a fat software developer for far too long. You can read all about it in my other blog, Fat Developer.
The image in the header is the view of the West Loch Tarbert from the Kennacraig terminal pier in Scotland, while waiting on a ferry to the isle of Islay, home to some of the most famous Single Malt Scotch Whiskies in the world. You can read all about it in my 2-part post “Visiting Islay“.
In Absentia is the name of an album of a progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, which is in my opinion one of the greatest pieces of music ever made!
More info coming soon…
